‘The first thing is a division, a differentiation, that as such, by if alone, supports every space. A line that causes respects. Isolate, separates it of inside it of outside; hiding, delimits, establishes the autonomy of it enclosed, its independence of the environment.’Ada Dewes
Continuing the distribution that optimizes the space of the central patio of the CONDESA df hotel, for their function as the defendant of restaurant (The Patio), there were drawn a series of lines on the flat that were determined by the disposition of the tables. These lines served as guides for the construction of walls of block (18x38x12cm) that divided the space generating a series of rooms that contain each one of the tables. The walls are built to different heights seeking the interference in the visual communication, the ergonomic factors and of comfort not valued according to the habitual norms.
The reorganization of the space, proposes a direct interaction with the operation of the restaurant, the clients will find a totally alien space not previously known or expected, they will have to choose more than a table, a space delimited among walls; guests will have to travel through walkways, rooms and doors, the space is thought to be traveled through. In the same way the waiters will be affected, obliging them create dynamics that will carry them to seek the better way to offer service.
